About Me
My musical career began at the age of 6 playing the piano. I quickly discovered my love for all things music and was playing the violin within two years. Soon I was performing in orchestras and music groups throughout the North West.
I am now offering lessons online to help ease the current social distancing guidelines.
At the age of 15, I was bought a flute for Christmas; I passed my grade 8 with distinction within a year. I then took up the viola and went on to lead the viola section for the International Philharmonic and Royal Northern Chamber orchestras. Grade 8 distinctions soon followed in piano and music theory.
I commenced my music teaching career in 1989, at the age of 17, teaching flute to beginners at a music school in Bolton. I now teach piano, flute, violin, viola, music theory and GCSE, including help with composing. All instruments and theory are taught up to and including grade 8.
I also work as a musical director for amateur dramatic groups and my local primary school, coaching children and adults to maximise their performances for the big day.
